Washington, D.C. - Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) made a strong statement today as he voted against H. Res. 1061, The 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act. In his remarks on the bill's passage, Rep. Rosendale expressed his concerns about the budget and policies put forth by Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.

Rep. Rosendale criticized the bill, stating, "This minibus is going to cover six of the appropriation bills. It contains about 2000 pages of documents, it is $513 billion in spending, of which, about $12 billion is earmarks that different members have inserted into this legislation." He further highlighted his disappointment in the lack of transparency and debate surrounding the bill's passage, emphasizing that it is not a responsible way to fund the government.

Describing the system as broken, Rep. Rosendale voiced his dissent towards the minibus, emphasizing the need for a more transparent and accountable process in government funding decisions.

The Congressman's stance against the bill reflects his commitment to upholding principles of transparency and accountability in government spending.
